UNDIES SEWING WORKSHOP! SUN MAY 25th 11am-3pm
Learn to sew your own adorable undies!
In the past these workshops have been extra, extra fun! We will be making the Panel Undies pattern from Rad Patterns. There are options to make your undies low, mid or high rise and the pattern sizes range from XXS-5X. This is a great introduction to sewing with knit fabrics and elastics.
*You must have some basic machine sewing experience to attend this workshop. This class is suitable for an adventurous beginner.
In this workshop you will learn:
tips and tricks for successfully sewing with knits
How to work with elastic
How to use your pattern
Other uses for your pattern like period undies and swimsuits, and sources for those fabrics and supplies.
Included in this workshop:
fabrics in many colors and prints to choose from
elastics and trims
a printed pattern that is your to keep
thread and stretch needles will be provided
4 hours of guided and hands on instruction from Erika
Please bring to the workshop:
a functional sewing machine if you have one (we do have studio machines that you are welcome to use if needed. Please let me know and I will have one ready for you!)
Sharp fabric scissors if you have ‘em! We have studio scissors, but there never seems to be enough pairs to go around!
Everything else for your project will be provided!
This in-person event will take place at BOLT Handmakers Society located at 556 S. Vista Ave. - in the Vista Plaza. Please arrive on time. Bring along a closed water bottle and snacks! There is lots of cozy seating available for taking short breaks.
