Get ready, Sewists, we are going to make the darling and versatile Greer Jumpsuit from Hey June Handmade!

This workshop will be two 3 hour sessions. The first session (June 22 11-2) will be measuring, preparing our patterns, cutting fabric and beginning the construction of our jumpsuits. The second session (June 29 11-2) will be putting the finishing touches on our jumpsuits and trying them on for a fun group photo!

There are options to make a V-neck front with a zipper back, shoulder tie straps, ankle length, or shorts. The pattern sizes range from 0-24.

*You must have some basic machine sewing experience to attend this workshop. This class is appropriate for a confidant beginner. Please choose your fabric color from this link and include that information when you check out: linen fabric

In this workshop you will learn:

  • how to measure your body and choose your size

  • How to make minor adjustments to the pattern for a better fit

  • How to install a zipper

Included in this workshop:

  • 100% linen fabric in your choice of color

  • zippers, interfacing, and other notions to complete your project

  • a professionally printed pattern that is your to keep

  • thread and sewing machine needles

  • 6 hours of guided and hands on instruction from Erika

  • access to the huge community bin of fabric that can be used for patchwork pockets!

  • access to a serger to finish seams

Please bring to the workshop:

  • a functional sewing machine if you have one (I have a couple studio machines that you are welcome to use if needed. Please let me know and I will have one ready for you!)

  • Sharp fabric scissors if you have ‘em! We have studio scissors, but there never seems to be enough pairs to go around!

  • Everything else sew your project will be provided!

This in-person event will take place in my teaching studio located at 104 W. 31st Street in Garden City, ID. Please arrive on time. The studio can be chilly so a sweater or layers are recommended. Bring along a closed water bottle and snacks! There is a small kitchen available for taking breaks.
