QUILTED WITCH HAT WORKSHOP! SAT OCT 4th 11-2:30

$48.00

CALLING ALL CRAFTY WITCHES!

Join me at BOLT Handmakers Society to create a one-of a kind Quilted Witch hat, sewn from vintage and upcycled fabrics, and adorned with patches, velvet ribbons, trims, and other magical accoutrements. We will also learn about the magic associated with sewing and handcraft and how you can include Stitch Spells in your projects.

You will have a plethora of textiles and supplies to choose from to create the hat of your dreams. You are also encouraged to bring fabrics, trims, patches etc that have personal meaning to add to your hat. Anything with special meaning to you to add a lil’ extra magic to your creation!

In this workshop you will learn:

  • how to measure and choose your hat size

  • How to prepare your pattern pieces

  • How to sew with upcycled and interfaced textiles

  • How to attach a brim to a hat

  • the magic infused in sewing and creating something by hand!

Included in this workshop:

  • a variety of textiles and trims for your hat

  • a pattern that is your to keep

  • thread and sewing machine needles to complete your project

  • 3.5 hours of guided and hands on instruction from Erika

  • access to a serger to finish seams

  • Sharp fabric scissors if you have ‘em! We have studio scissors, but there never seems to be enough pairs to go around!

  • Any special textiles or trims that you would like to include in your project.

  • Everything else for your project will be provided!
