WEEKEND CHORE PANTS WORKSHOP! April 12th + 19th 11am-2:30pm $130
Rev up your machines, Sewists! In April we are making the cutest, comfiest PANTS!
This workshop will be two 3.5 hour sessions. The first session (April 12th 11-2:30) will be measuring, preparing and cutting fabric and beginning the construction of our pants. The second session (April 19th 11-2:30) we will be putting the finishing touches on our pants trying them on for a fun group photo!
The Weekend Chore Pants are relaxed fit with an elastic waist. The pattern can be made in fun and funky patchwork, or a solid color. I recommend purchasing your patternhere so you can have unlimited access to the files. I will provide professionally printed copies of the pattern at the workshop.
*You must have some basic machine sewing experience to attend this workshop. This class is appropriate for a confidant beginner.
FABRIC! please read through this paragraph to choose fabric for your project. If you would like to make linen pants, please choose up to 3 colors (or just one if you don’t want to make patchwork) of fabric from this link for your pants and include that information when you check out: link —> linen fabric. You will type your color choice(s) into the text box and then hit the enter or return button on your keyboard to proceed with the registration. If you would like to make patchwork denim pants please put “DENIM” in the text box at checkout and I will have yardage of different colors of denim on hand to create custom patchwork.
In this workshop you will learn:
how to measure your body and choose your size
How to make minor adjustments to the pattern for a better fit
How to sew a garment from a pattern
Included in this workshop:
100% linen fabric in your choice of color
elastic, interfacing, and other notions to complete your project
a printed sewing pattern
printed instructions
thread and sewing machine needles
7 hours of guided and hands on instruction from Erika
access to the huge community bin of fabric that can be used for patchwork pockets!

Please bring to the workshop:
a functional sewing machine if you have one (we have a few studio machines that you are welcome to use if needed. Please let me know and I will have one ready for you!)
