ALL WELL WORKSHOP Sewing School! FEBRUARY dates listed below!

from $195.00

Introducing, my first SEWING SCHOOL series! We will meet three weeks in a row to work on garment projects to gain new skills and add some new, cute handmade pieces to our closets!

For Sewing School in February we will be sewing from All Well Workshop’s book, How To Sew Clothes! We will meet from 11-2:30 on 2-15, 2-21, and 2-28 (please note that the first class is on SUNDAY, and the remaining two classes are on SATURDAYS)

This book includes patterns for several bags and customizable clothing items. We will make two Box Tops and Cardigan Coats together! You can register with the book included, or with just the workshop if you already own the book.

*You must have some basic machine sewing experience to attend this workshop. This class is appropriate for a confidant beginner.

When you check out please enter two fabric choices for your box tops from this link: Linen Fabric

(If you are purchasing this workshop as a gift please let me know if the “fabric choice” section and I will get a Gift Certificate ready and your recipient can choose their own fabric color when they receive your gift)

We will be using upcycled/repurposed fabric for our Cardigan Coats! I will have several options to choose from, or you can bring your own. Think quilts, drapes, wool skirts, moving blankets… we will discuss options at the first class!

In this workshop you will learn:

  • how to measure your body and choose your size

  • How to cut your pattern pieces

  • How to customize a pattern

  • and much more!

Included in this workshop:

  • pre-washed fabric for your projects

  • buttons and other notions to complete your project

  • thread and sewing machine needles

  • 10.5 hours of guided and hands on instruction from Erika

  • access to the huge community bin of fabric that can be used for patchwork and embellishments!

  • access to a serger to finish seams

  • your own copy of the How To Sew Clothes book (unless you register without the book!)

Please bring to the workshop:

  • a functional sewing machine if you have one (we have studio machines that you are welcome to use if needed. Please let me know and I will have one ready for you!)

  • Sharp fabric scissors if you have ‘em! We have studio scissors, but there never seems to be enough pairs to go around!

  • Any special fabrics you would like to use for your projects

  • Everything else to sew your project will be provided!

This in-person event will take place at BOLT Handmakers Society located at 556 S. Vista Ave. Please arrive on time. You are welcome (and encouraged!) to bring a closed water bottle, beverages and snacks! There is a small kitchen and fridge available to use. The studio can be very chilly this time of year, so dressing in layers is recommend.
